And here's one more person 100% agreeing about the inherent eroticism of vivisection. Apparently. Damn, this was a really cool take on the premise. I love how guarded and cautious Rubin is as he tries to make things clear between them. His utilitarian frankness, especially contrasted against Daniil trying to get what he wants through actions rather than his words, is just wonderful. I also liked the throw-away lines that imply the shape of their relationship - there's a lot to read into here.
