I'm OP and I'm compromised. I love how vivid Daniil's imagination is, how it contrasts his clipped and cautious speech, how it surrounds and overwhelms it. His desire for Block is so palpable and so visceral. And 'throw me a line, drop your hooks beneath my skin, reel me in and have me, hold me, keep me' is so!!! Good!!! Daniil wants to be kept, and my heart just aches for him. This was beautifully written, and everything I wanted to read.
